Wanted: Purchase Consultant

Hi All,

My wife and I (newbies) take delivery of our new Globetrotter 27’ in Columbus Ohio on May 15th. I ordered a Hensley hitch and need to install it at the dealer. I would love to find someone willing to meet us and give an experienced eye to the trailer AND help me get though the hitch install in a timely manner. Will happily pay a consulting fee.

Any takers?

Thx - Paul

Welcome to the forum!

If you go to the Portal page via the grey tab at the top left:

http://www.airforums.com/

. . . there is a form to fill out on the right edge of the page to locate an inspector for each state. This process should help you might find someone willing and able to help IMO.

Depending on your tow vehicle, you could also probably find a hitch shop nearby and tow the new trailer there on the bare ball IMO. [slowly and carefully . . . ] What is your TV?

Also, Columbus is not that far from Jackson Center. Will the AS factory do the Hensley work for you? May be hard to get an appt. this time of year, though.

Good luck!

Peter

Not much of a 'dealer'...👎

The Hensley comes with a comprehensive manual..., study it well, familiarize yourself with the nomenclature and do the installation yourself.
You will learn a lot about the hitch that will come in very handy down the road.
FWIW...I remove ours every fall for Winter storage.

If the dealer won't lend you a floor jack, you need another dealer.🤔

Probably to avoid liability issues installing something as critical as a hitch with which they aren't familiar.
