the dream is a airstream 34.5 . is there a chance of finding such a wonder in good shape, and just how difficult would it be to keep such a dream moving down the road once found?

Hello and welcome to the forums!

A 34 is a big trailer! Have you towed before? You will want to research the type and size of tow vehicle plus hitch set up you would need for a 34 footer! Since the 34's are "newer" trailers your opportunity for finding one is there, but not as many out there as slightly smaller ones. We generally suggest keeping an eye out on ebay, here on our forum classifieds, your local newspaper, the nearest Airstream dealer, and Craigslist.org. Even if you don't find the one you are looking for it will help you determine price, availability and condition. Pulling that much trailer and having a newer tow vehicle (a big one...) will be more expensive than a smaller rig. A 34 foot trailer with tow vehicle will produce about a 50+ foot rig all together. But, we all live our dreams here!

Lots of information here on the forums, in the upper right toolbar area is a search button. Use the pull down feature and do a search for tow vehicles or trailer size, etc. You might also want to look at things like where you want to camp, etc. Many national parks and state parks have a 25 foot limit, although many will take the big MoHo's.

Good luck!

Welcome!
Are you talking about an Airstream 345 Motor Home? They would be from the min 80's and a lot depends on the person who owned them before.

Howdy iogulistan -- Welcome to the Forums!

I believe the 34.5 mentioned is a motorhome.

Finding value will take some time and patience.

Thanks for setting it straight! I obviously "read" the post more casually than I thought! Must have needed more coffee....or an afternoon nap!
