Unusual 1996 25' Sovereign

Recently joined. Have an interesting Airstream. Previously owned by well known Hollywood stunt man Rex Rossi. He used it very little, mostly on location. He did stunts from Hopalong Cassidy to Antonio Balderas. At the time I joined we had no plans to sell our trailer but shortly after joining we ran across a 2007, 75th Anniversary Classic 27'. We saw it, loved it and bought it so will be listing the other trailer very soon. We have been camping for at least 40 years, originally in tents until acquiring the Airstream. Have been reading everything I can find on the Forums.

Howdy and welcome to Airforums.com, Morgan guy! You are in the right spot to explore all subjects related to Airstream trailers.

Wow, that certainly IS an interesting trailer. Do you have any way of proving the provenance (Rex Rossi's ownership)? If so, then it would be good to mention that in your ad when you sell. it, many people value trailers more highly if interesting previous owners can be established.

I'm sure that I saw lots of Rex Rossi's work; Hopalong Cassidy was THE hero in my life in my early days. I bugged my mom until she finally got me a complete outfit of his. TV was new then, and so was I, so it never occurred that ole Hoppy wasn't doing all those crazy things himself.

Why not post some photos of your trailers? We'd love to see them...

Rex Rossi

When we bought the trailer, Rossi had left all of his personal papers in it including his check book. We had the salesman contact him to return the items. We do have a publicity photo of him and the checklist when he bought the trailer with his signature on it. I forgot to mention that he also choreographed Catherine Zeta Jones horse stunts. He used the trailer on sets and had all the windows covered with foil. He was raised on a ranch in South Texas and became good friends with the lady who is the current owner.
