TwoCoasties Onboard

Hi All, We are two retired Coasties seriously considering joining the Airstream family. We are currently in Columbus OH waiting to visit the factory tomorrow. We're excited and looking forward to learning about life on the road with an Airstream.

Welcome to the madness and have fun at the factory. The tour is a real eye opener.

First, thanks for keeping us safe on the water! You're greatly appreciated! Second, welcome to the group! I think you'll find thes big silver dirt boats as moch fun as the kind you use in water!

Welcome Aboard,

Retired in '97 at CGAS Miami. Been half-timing in our 31' 1986 Sovereign since '04. Many big miles, many big smiles!

There are lots of military "famcamps" that are a good deal and are usually at bases with commissaries and exchanges to help you stretch your dollars (including some Coast Guard facilities). There are some handy websites if you google "military campgrounds".

Lots of retirees and veterans on the Forum.

Enjoy your upcoming "voyage"

Mike

Why do all Coasties have to be over 6' tall? So, if their boat sinks they can walk to shore!

Did my time in the Navy too
