Welcome. Part of the fun around here is discerning truth from opinions and everyone here has lots of the latter.

So you will be living in your Airstream as you contract with different hospitals throughout the US?

What neat way to work and see the country. My daughter just graduated with her RN and is working her first job in St George, Utah. She's enjoying the work in the cardio unit.

Hope you find nice locations to work. Working at a downtown hospital in a large city you may not find many or any decent RV parks close by downtown and would have to join the commuters.

Hopefully during the winter you will find contracts down south. Living in Minnesota in an Airstream during the winter would not be fun.

Don't hesitate to ask any questions about Airstreams, towing and tow vehicles.

Kelvin,
Thank you! So far we have been lucky with our assignments and plan to be south in the winter, north in the summer! Hoping it works out! Glad your daughter is liking her unit! That first job is tough.

Hi ERjedRN, nice to meet another Airstreamer. You folks picked out a very good model Airstream for your travels. You will have to learn to "do without", or travel light. As the old saying goes, you don't need to bring a 55 gallon drum of hair conditioner, or a bushel basket of corn flakes with you. A small container will do nicely. Many places in the world folks stop by the market on the way home and pick up a days worth of food.

KR is right about living in an Airstream during the long winter in Minnesota. I read somewhere that Airstreams are ideal for spring and fall traveling when the temps are 70 during the day, and 55 at night.

You might enjoy reading about full timing in an Airstream. There is much information posted by folks that are doing exactly what you are doing. Check out the full timing section.
