Welcome to the forums. Sounds like you've had a full dance card this year and may be envied by any number of streamers! Good for you !!
I'm sure many members would be interested in your caravan adventures and you may wish to consider a blog. A forums member, Dr. C. and his wife Lynn wrote a great blog on their 63 day caravan with the WBCCI's Golden Caravan (2005).
Again, welcome
suz

AIR 15194 - Join Date: 07-22-2006 I am "53clipper", and it says that I haven't posted, but I know I have in the past. I had a 53 Clipper TT, and I have owned a beautiful 1993 36' Airstream Landyacht MH for quite a while. My husband died, and I can't drive this lovely thing. I am 50 miles north of Houston. My Property Owner's Assoc. wants it out of my driveway, and I don't know where to sell it, quickly. I tried Ebay with the Clipper, and that turned into a fiasco. Craigslist is fine, but it only puts in the Houston area. Any ideas, anyone ? I would appreciate some sound advice.
I can take a Class B, or small C in trade, as I can drive one of those, and I do have a garage that will hold that size, then the POA will be happy, as it would be out of the driveway.
Happy Airstreaming, and Safe Holidays to Y'all. Penny
Penny, I am sorry to hear of your loss, made even worse perhaps by the complication in turning your motorhome. You might consider listing here on our Classifieds. Many people seem to successfully sell their units through this forum service. Best wishes, G

Thank you ,G.
I posted it in the classifieds, so at least folks know that it is available.
Yes, it is a constant reminder of happy RVing, as long as it is parked right outside my window. I hope the classified ad works, I'd like to have something smaller, and make more memories.
I wish I hadn't sold my 62/64? Bambi, now !!! It had a shower, which I gather, is unusual. We used to go to the A/S rallies with it. It looked like a tumblebug behind my Dodge extended cab LWB pick up !!
Have a Safe Holiday, Penny
Hi Ron, welcome to the forums! Check out the search feature at the top of the page - hopefully you will find the info you're looking for. Congratulations on your new Land Yacht! Post some pictures when you can - we love pictures!

I just bought a 1958 Flying Cloud that I plan to redo. It was more of a wreck than I originally thought. I have no problems with doing interior floors, walls, appliances, woodwork and other finishes but, new tanks and wiring might be a little beyond me. I have looked at many vintage trailer sites and gotten lots of great info. I would love to know more about system planning. I am definately a visual learner and need to see the diagrams, pictures, real thing, to understand more about how to redo what I have. I don't want to just tear everything out and start over if I can help it. My friends have dubbed me the optimist with the silver twinkie, I am so ready for this new challenge!
twnk - welcome! It's definitely good to be an optimist, because from experience I can tell you that you will probably run into some frustrating situations in the course of your restoration. There is lots of help on this site, though - check out the search feature, and if that doesn't give you the info you need, feel free to ask. Post some pictures of your Airstream too - I just love those old Flying Clouds.
Oh yeah, and you're not the first person to say, "It was more of a wreck than I originally thought." Good luck!

congratulations on your new purchase. you can find a ton of info using the search button. i'm in the process of redoing my '56 flying cloud. you will most likely have to tear everything out as your subfloor will be rotted out and the steel frame will probably need some repair, i.e. shell off renovation. you'll probably also need a new axle and tires depending on the history. you don't have a grey tank and you may not have a fresh water tank. your black tank will probably need to be replaced. fell free to pm me if you have any questions.
post pix, we love pix.

Howdy Folks:
I have a three axle 34 that I think is a 1982. I have never seen another with the small non-wrap-around front window. Mine has that narrow 1969 front window with the foot or so wide side windows that do not go around the corner like the newer ones do. Otherwise it is a rear bath Limited with an "L" couch that seems quite normal. Can anyone tell me why the little window other than it is an early early 34 and that, perhaps, Airstream is famous for an occational oddball?
