The Hunt Is Over

A friend of mine once said that you don't find a cat a cat finds you...

I posted a few weeks ago that I was looking for a AS 20-22 vintage trailer. Looked at some Globetrotters, Safari's and even a Streamline . None of them turned my crank.

Then I went out to Colorado to buy a Jeepster Commando...that did not work out, but the hiking was good.

On the way home I stopped at the airstreamguy's place just to see what the different layouts looked like... And just like the cat... my Airstream found me (it helped that my wife liked also).

1957 Caravanner 2. Great Bones...plus an interior that I won't have any trouble trashing and feeling bad about.

From the pics, the interior looks decent and looks like it could be repaired.

The wrap around birch wood was a classic look, (look for Shari Davis, Safari for pics of what it could be).

If you plan to trash, offer it out, there could be folks here that would love to have it for a restore.

Enjoy,

Welcome. We hope you enjoy your newest project as much as we've enjoyed ours. And when you finish, you get to have even more fun using it. What a deal!

Enjoy,
MY wife is always saying that I use too much slang...so trashing the interior means I will carefully remove it. Most likely use it for patterns and then offer up to anyone that would want it. My idea is modern functionality with an retro feel.
