Well, here I am. Once again a new guy. I'm on several forums but have not joined a new one for some time.
So what brings me here? Two pine trees.
Unfortunately they fell on my 1979 Apache Ramada.
Long story short, I'm getting closer to retirement and am now camperless. Unacceptable.
I've always admired Airstreams, and while doing a web search I found this forum. Not suprising to find a forum dedicated to Airstreams as I was a member of two Apache forums, and some other special interest forums.
I now am looking, but not too fast, for a smaller Airstream for use at my deer lease and for summer travel with my wife, not an outdoor girl by any means.
About us: We are both 60, she being the older (
). Three grown children, one boy, two girls. One of the girls is married. We reside in Hendersonville, TN, just NE of Nashville. We are both native Iowans, hence the "Hawkeye5" handle. I have been in the property and casualty insurance business since graduating college, she was a social worker until recently when she had to quit because of health (kidney transplant). Nice to be here.
If you will excuse me, I'm going to root around and see what I can learn.
