Great idea. I did not know but suspected thier would be something like that available. I will start looking at trailer supply stores. How do they attach? Thanks.

You mount a rail above the existing window with rivets and slide the guard in from the side and then insert a screw or rivet in the mounting rail to keep it in place.

You can get them from Inland Andy on this forum. There may be other sources such as the factory in Jackson Center, OH, but I don't know if they carry them or not. Andy reportedly has the largest supply of vintage parts available for older Airstreams.

New Member, too!

New to the forum, not as new to 'Streamin'. Husband Terry and I purchased a Safari 27 FB SE in Sept. 07. We've had it out 4 times in 5 months and are heading out for our 5th trip this week. Finding the forum has proved invaluable for information and getting together with other "Air-heads". The California Streamers are a diverse group of funsters, who love their silver.

During the day, I encourage school kids to read. I'm an elementary Library Media Tech - easy on the 'tech'. I love camping and 'streaming even more! I'm proud to say that I have been in all of our glorious states, with the last one being seen by cruise ship last year. I hope to continue rolling into and out of many before-visited states in future years.

Terry and I have been married for 30 years this November and have 5 children 37-17 & 3 grandchildren 18-4. Yes, our grandson is 9 months older than our youngest! Life is a blast! We love God, our family and our country!
We love and will someday have a vintage trailer for girls only rallies, etc. We both have various hobbies when there is time, because the more we 'stream, the more we have to stream.

Until we meet on the highway or the net...
sterling streamer
