Still Crazy After All These Years

Well, as they say, marriage is about compromise. I wanted a summer cabin in Colorado or another blue-water sailboat, but Jeanie has always wanted a travel trailer. So, we compromised and bought a new truck and trailer. Had to sell the last Harley after 50+ years of riding (just too many crazies on the road), so I guess this is our next adventure and at 70 years old I'm not sure how many are left. Hope to meet some of you nice folks out on the road.

"Blue Skies"... smiling at me

Yeah buddy,
It's all about compromise isn't it?

Welcome, I think you're gonna like it.

Remember that the new truck can take your new silver cabin to Colorado in the summer... which is a much better place to be in the summer than Texas! I've been thinking about 7,000 feet since it broke 100F.

So are ya putting a Harley sticker on the truck? Look at it this way now you can hit all of the Harley dealers on the try the ride days! Girls grew up we got Harley again they had children so we sold them again. Not gonna lose the airstream. That is right life is a compromise!
Cliff I did love that road king and she looked happy on her heritage classic. 02's

Same here. Ridin is livin.

So, no longer can ride. It was a "choice" placed on me...a "forced compromise". Like you, but only 46 or so years of HD and a few others.. Then landed with BMW last 8..great times...now I hope I can remember most if it...

It is "all good" tho ! I don't feel it is compromise as much as it is adapting...that is what survivors do.

It was good to watch the new riders coming up and help pass along some experiences to them. The folks here have helped so many ways, too. Great bunch!

Enjoy the Rollin' Cabin!

Peace

Hi from AZ. . . Ahhh, a familiar story. I had been riding since '58, mostly British & jap crap, (I loved that Z1R !) but traffic in Atlanta was/is so bad I gave it up in '89. I think you'll love the AS and enjoy the travels. Lots of us 70-somethings out here, and hey, beats the alternative ! Welcome and regards, Craig

Great for you....I was never a bike fan (love to look at the shiny craftsmanship tho) but at 75 I love vintage trailers and classic cars. Combining the two made perfect sense. Keep mov'n....I say, 'If you stop...you die'.
