Starting 1967 Ambassador reno!!!

Hey Everyone,
So I've been wanting an airstream for about 10 years and finally caved and bought one. Actually I bought two! Shortly after my first I got bit by an aluminum bug and bought a 68' overlander in original condition. However it was home to a pack a day smoker so I've got a lot of hours of scrubbing ahead of me.

I have a small farm upstate and we are hosting 7 weddings here this summer in an effort "to break even". So the business plan is to accommodate about 30 in traditional houses and rent out airstreams and tiny houses as a sort of glamp site to the more adventurous members of the wedding party.

Anyway, now that my first hay wagon tiny house is done I'm starting to get my head around renovating the 67 ambassador. I bought it from a wonderful gentleman who has already put in a ton of time and money. Its got a brand new hot water heater, pump, black water tank and furnace. I now just have to figure out how to get them functioning. It also came with a brand new porcelain toilet and tub kitchen sing and stove top. So far I've taken out a lot of the original cabinetry and bathroom fixtures.
Have been washing and scrubbing everything down.
Now comes the fun part. Hooking everything up!

Anyway, I'd really like some tips on how to get the most out of the forum.

Since I'm starting with plumbing I'll post there and in the model specific forum.

Im really looking forward to this project. Can't wait to become a member of the community!

Thanks,
-Hedge Rocks

That sounds delightful. I would be a guest that opts for a stream or tiny accommodation as that would make going to a wedding even more fun.

Congrats!

As far as tips on getting the best use out of the forums, there is no need to post questions in more than one place, as my bet is that the folks who browse the forums on a regular basis probably just look at the "new posts" sections, so they will see your post no matter where you put it, no need to duplicate threads in more than one place.

To search, open up a general google search in another window, and include "Airforums" as a search term, and you will have much better luck finding what you are looking for, than you will with the built-in furms search funtion.

Good luck!
