Spotted an Airstream for sale in ID

I'm not an Airstreamer, but I spotted an older Airstream tonight with a "for sale" sign on it in Coeur d'Alene, ID. I don't know how to tell the age of the various types of Airstreams, either, but I will post the information I wrote down from a plaque on the side of the unit, in hopes someone on this board may be interested.

The information: Airstream Land Yacht
Globe Trotter
C173 F J
021T9 S 110
$8,500
(208) 667-7367

Peeking in the front window, it looks OK, not "spiffy", but not a mess. There were no signs of water damage on the walls or ceiling. The tires definitely need to be replaced. Good luck to someone!

Well aren't you fantastic!

How thoughtful of you. And thanks. Someone for sure will get on that band wagon. Why not you? Plenty of help here for any questions you might have. Jump in the water is fine and the reflection off the airstream won't bother you until you get around to polishing it.

From the VIN number, it's a 1969 GlobeTrotter.

I agree, thanks for sharing!!!

Why not, get it yourself? Come on...we know you want to! Although the price seems a bit steep to me ~ but I haven't seen it.

Talking

As to why I'm not interested myself, I already belong to another "cult"...we have a Lazy Daze Class C motorhome. One RV is enough for me! I can still admire the Airstreams for their classic good looks and functional design, though.
