Hello all. Not a lot to share yet as we are new to the camping world. We went for the first time over Labor Day (in a rented box) and we are completely hooked. My wifes family camped the whole time she was growing up, me on the other hand my middle name used to be hotel! I guess I've spent too much time in hotels traveling for work and that no longer holds any allure to me.

We haven't bought anything yet but are slowly looking around (learning)and hope to come across a lovingly used one by late spring. Right now I would love to find an 05-06 Safari Bunkhouse...I'm learning that those are hard to come by though. Have considered buying a different model and doing some re-modeling to meet our requirements. Which are a dedicated master bedroom and dedicated bunks for the kids...no making up the table or couch everymorning. If anybody knows of some available units that have been retrofitted to accomplish the above I would really appreciate knowing about them. Just the Wife and I and our two small children.

The first contact is a brave move ... there are several units for sale in the Mo. area ... Craigslist, Forums, Rv trader or just a Google search for Airstreams for sale, Midwest.
