Some day...

I've currently got a 42' fifth wheel toy hauler with no toys. It houses me, the Mrs., two young children and two Labrador retrievers. For me it's too much camper. We spend weekends in it along with a 2 week vacation every summer. I love the way the fifth wheel tows., but the size is prohibitive. I have been shopping Airstream on-line for a few weeks and would love to make the leap. I look at the Airstream and see simplicity in no slides and less maintenance with no rubber roof. I've never owned a travel trailer and worry about the towing experience. My wife thinks no slides would be too tight on the inside. So, my future involves an SUV (Expedition, etc.) and an Airstream TBD. In the meantime, I'm going to follow the Airstream forum and look for the 30' bunkhouse.

Welcome! You and me are in about the same situation. We have a 35 ft fifth wheel, and it's just myself, my wife, and one dog. Too much trailer for many state parks. I love the big tanks and onboard generator on the fiver, but the complicated bells and whistles and the rubber roof are definite downsides.

We're currently interested in the 27FB, either a Classic or an Eddie Bauer.
