So Much to Learn! We Should Have Been Airstreaming Long Ago

We bought our first AS in August of this year, a well taken care of 27-ft, '99 Safari. First time towing a trailer was the return trip from Fresno, CA to Vancouver, Wa. Other than my nerves the first couple hundred miles, the trip was a piece of cake--even going up, over and down the Siskiyou Mountains in Southern Oregon.

Have been soaking up much info from the AS community in the forums; thanks everyone for your views and answers to questions from new members like us.

Speaking of questions, I have one to start with. I've noticed our Safari does not have a spare tire. In fact, I'm not sure where one would go. So--is there a spare tire mount available? And where would it go?

More questions to follow--you can count on it.

My 2008 Safari has a spare tire carrier under the trailer at the front. If yours does not have one, it can likely be installed by a dealer or you, if you are handy.

I had to get on my hands and knees to see yhe spare on our 08 Classic. Once you see it, then you can see the pin and clip that holds it in place to lower the front of the carrier, behind the propanetanks just in front of the shell....
