so close i can taste it...

hello kids..
long time reader, first time intro here, starting to chime in more & more...
my name is gabby & im 31 & in the city of oakland, ca. my bf mack will prolly join in the forums shortly, but we've both bee on an active search for our dream stream for some time.. and recently, been so close we can taste the aluminum.

a week or so ago, we took a trip up into mendicino to check out a 77 safari we thought would be the one, but it looked amazing in photos & not so hot ( slightly lukewarm) in person. i was so ready to buy then, it was almost heartbreaking to drive away, un-towing.

right now im in the mix with 2 other trailers, trying to really narrow it down & make a good educated choice. theres been several 25' streams in the area that ive deemed simply too long for our needs (and tow veh) and realised a 21-22' safari will be perfect. so we wait.

both mack & i are long time burner veterans& look forward to possibly meeting some of you this year at BM, as you seem to be camping right where we tend to set up each year!

thanks again to all of you whove dialoged with me about some things & shared your knowledge, this really is an amazing community & forum.

ps, we have an awesome boston terrier pup named beef who just turned 1 today.

hi blue'

keep looking and touching and looking some more.

it is the best way to get familiar with the many models, years and CONDITIONS they exhibit.

with the pathfinder u are wise to STICK to a size/weight...

otoh a really awesome 25 would be enough to send me looking for a better tow beast....

cuse good 25 are hard to find and can do everything, sort of...

the 22/23 are way less easy to find...

take pics of what u see and share them here....

and when the right fish is on your hook, set it!

cheers
2air

the maiden voyage

finally took her out!

the yet to be named safari performed beautifully on our first trip.

we took off to the upper oso campground in the santa ynez mountains, close to santa barbara, ca.

heres the full album of pics from the trip

so, being the noobs we are.. we're having a dickens of a time finding a place near home to dump, whether it be free or otherwise.

we stopped at a few places along the 101 northbound getting home, but being that it was pretty late on a sunday, most were closed.

any tips on dumping or finding services when you tend to not be in the major interstate areas and near major rest stops?

Congratulations on your new rig.

RVDumps.com may be handy for you.

Do you have any Flying J or Love's truck centers in you area? They usually have free dumping facilities. Perhaps a state or private campground will let you dump for a fee.
