Service/Repairs for the Newbie

Just purchased my stream home (partly thanks to this community).
I bought it thru a dealer as a consignment (2009 25' Flying Cloud). I'm sure I was up-sold on many things, especially the 4 year warranty. I am planning on living full-time in the A/S for the next 2-4 years for my professional training.
Do you guys go to the dealership for the annual service & repairs or do you guys recommend independent shops? My dealer seemed extremely eager when selling me my home, but not as eager when it came to the minor issues I was having after I purchased my home.
Also, is my warranty good for anything?

I do all of my own work, but then I'm a retired stationary engineer and I like to tinker.
A new thing in the RV technician world is certification. If the day comes when I need someone else to work on my rig, I'll settle for nothing less if they're all the caliber of the few here on the forum.
When I repaired hospitals there was a saying - some are mechanics, others are nice guys with tools. Our AS was slightly abused in the past by some nice guys.

Hopefully someone else knows about the warranty.
