Second Generation Airstreamer

Hello from the panhandle of Florida,
My dad gave me the 1978 Airstream we all used for family vacations. I plan on restoring the trailer.
I need your help please. One of the aluminum panels needs replaced and the clearcoat is shot and the entire trailer need polished to start.
1 who replaces aluminum panels?
2 is there a step by step exterior process to follow starting with stripping?

The only lising ON THIS SITE IS for a 1978 27' FOOT IS OVERLANDER. I am not sure which model I have.

thanks in advance for your reply

What panel?

What panel needs replacing? If it is curved one, on the front or rear, good luck. Listen to www.theVAP.com for some information. Are you watching the DIY Friday at 9pm eastern show, on restoring a 1970 Airstream? Also, post some pictures here of your trailer. Try www.vintagetrailersupply.com for supplies. Also, www.airstreamtrailers.com is a great resource, as is RJs www.vintageairstream.com

Good luck!

Rob
