Score !!! Finally. 66 One owner..

Hi all....We were members and very active several years ago when we owned a 61 Overlander that was gutted and needed a complete New floor..After replacing the floor and rebuilding a front dinette and kitchen, we sold her and now have a yardful of vintage campers lol.....I've never stopped looking for that perfect to me vintage Airstream though. Last night we go sooooo very lucky, a gentleman listed this 66 international at 10:09 and I jumped on it and was talking to him at 10:12. I knew when we pulled out of our drive this morning at 5am that she was mine..We arrived at about 8am and he told us that he had been slammed with calls and texts.....which I'm sure he was . One owner, 91yrs old and had to be put in a nursing home this week and so asked the retirement park owner to sell it cor him. It has the most perfect skin that I have ever seen on any 50 yr old camper...it's absolutely complete inside even to the cot above one.of the twin beds...it is also the dirtiest, filthiest Thing that I have ever smelt or seen lol...We'll be driving back to Florida to pick her up in a week or so, depending on our work schedule as we'll need a day or two there to prep her for the trip back..Needles to say we are thrilled beyond words with this camper..

congrats on your find,,,i know how you feel,,,the wife and i have been addictated to the vintage bug for years aswell and have a few in our sheds lol,,,,we finally found our 63 overlander a few months ago and she was very nice but needed alot of tlc...now after months of love put into her she is almost ready for a shine up on her awsome excterior for a 52 yr old..
