Saw Stand Problem

I bought a DW723 Saw Stand in 2002 and it has become somewhat of a safety problem. Specifically, the yellow mounting brackets seem to be prone to becoming loose and the stand simply does not work as well as my sawhorse. I hate to think I may have wasted $200 on a saw stand, but it just doesn't work! Does anybody else have problems with thier saw stands?

I don't see what this has to do with Airstreams...? This is after all an Airstream travel trailer/motorhome forum.

If it does somehow relate to Airstreams welcome aboard...please explain further.

Shari

As Sh?

I didn't get one with our Airstream either. Was it an option? If it does not pertain to AS you may want to find another forum to post to; Saw Horses International?

Perhaps the sawhorse is being used to repair an Airstream? In that case simply moving the thread to the Off Topic forum would do. New members are not going to know the ropes, let's help them out instead of kicking them. I'm still learning my way around the forums.
Just my view of the way the responses appeared...

Hello and welcome, although your question relates to a topic off the beaten

trial (AIRSTREAMING) I will try and help. Dewalt tools and equipment are

covered by a Three-Year Limited Warranty. DEWALT will repair, without

charge, any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for three years

from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover part failure due to

normal wear or tool abuse. For further detail of warranty coverage and

warranty repair information, visit DEWALT: High Performance Industrial Tools and Accessories or call 1-800-4-DEWALT

(1-800-433-9258). This warranty does not apply to accessories or damage

caused where repairs have been made or attempted by others.

I would call this help desk and address this safety concern and possible recall

issue with them. If you bought this equipment in 2002 you may already

be behind the power curve, but it won't hurt seeking guidance from them.

regards, Keith

Andy who runs this forum also owns a DIY forum you may have better luck getting help there.

BTW, A quick check of the Amazon.com reviews under your type of saw stand doesn't show your problem as a recurring problem or compalint. Perhaps it is malfunctioning...

Best of luck,

Steve
