IT'S OFFICIAL: We're Airstreamin', no longer Dreamin'!
After several months of searching, four heartbreaks from deals that went sour, countless nights of therapy on this forum...WE PICKED UP OUR FIRST AIRSTREAM YESTERDAY! It's a 1967 26 foot International Overlander with a double in the middle, bath in the rear. Nice dark wood throughout, all appliances and fixtures working like new, great tires, brakes, Reese equalizer/sway bars, good upholstery and carpet. Got a couple of nice "beauty marks" from some low-hanging trees that MAY (hopefully) come out. It could use some real deep cleaning from hitch to license plate (which is current!).
Let me say THANKS to all of you for submitting so many helpful posts on this forum. I have NEVER seen any other forum like this. The guidance (practical, mechanical, spiritual, etc.) has been priceless! Moderators....you're the BEST.
Would love to post more, but need to go bond with our new acquisition. Will send photos later. God bless!

Reason: Title change
Sounds like a really nice find. Be sure to take about a million photos of EVERYTHING and then post them here, so we can vicariously enjoy along with you!
The "bond" can become an addiction very quickly. My wife is now complaining I am spending much too much time on the trailer and on-line about the trailer that she is feeling neglected. Maybe I should tell her there is only so much love to go around and she will have to wait her turn..... No bad idea. Guess we will spend some time together this weekend and the AS will sit alone.

Maybe you should put her in charge of getting a mirror like finish on the thing.......
Congrats. You know, when we got our first Airstream, we didn't realize at the time what we had really gotten ourselves into.
Getting an Airstream gets you into this group of folks that no matter where you are, you're part of this family somehow. It's hard to describe, but after a few campground visits where non Airstream owners all want to see the inside and you meet a few random Airstreamers when on the road, you'll know what I mean.
Yeah.. I vote for pictures soon too
Our '63 Overlander has the double bed in the middle too. I don't think that was a very popular option. Ours is not quite a double really....more like a single and a half.
It's so neat to hear all of you are as excited about our new find as we are! When will the pictures be posted? Soon, my precious....soon! If I can get to the laptop that has all of them on it, I may post some later tonight....much later. If not, it will be tomorrow sometime. Your impatience for pictures is both amusing and a compliment our new friendship. Thanks to all for making the Baldridge Family feel so welcomed into such a fine cult...er...community!
