RV noob getting 2nd rv.

New to the rv lifestyle and from Northern California. My wife and I bought a new forest river wildcat last December of 15 to see if we even liked to rv. We love the idea of not sleeping in someone else's bed(hotels). The plan was to use it for 2-5 years then if we liked it get our dream airstream. The build quality of the box rv drove me crazy. On our 6th trip out, last month, I received an email from Bay Area airstream so we decided that on our way home to Redding we would just take a look. Before the end of the day we ordered a new 27fb international signature. What a difference in quality, the choice was easy. Why continue to pay for something that we don't love? We still have a week or so for delivery and it's driving me crazy. I wish their was a tracking number so I could track where it's at, I'm obsessed lol. Looking forward to meeting some of you on the road👍

Btw should I bother with an rv cover? It will be stored outside.

Congratulations! I know what you mean about the wait. We sold our 16' sport 3 months ago, and 2 weeks ago ordered a new 25'FB twin from Bay Area. Hopefully it will be delivered in another 4-5 weeks. So hard to wait....

Also, the concensus (I read) is that you should not use a cover as it will do more harm than good.

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. You've made an excellent choice. We are up to nearly 1,800 nights in our Airstreams over the last ten years.

You are going to love Airstreaming.

Congrats,!

Your dealer should be able to tell you exactly when it'll be built. AS will actually let you follow it through the factory floor as its being built if you can be there.

Second on the no cover unless it's a building. The fabric flapping in the wind will wear the plasticoat. Wash and wax.
