we jumped in feet first. after a year of talks and debates about moving and doing something new we came up with getting a TT and traveling around doing flea markets and craft shows and festivals selling new and used Items and we could work our way to the southwest for the winters (neither of us take the cold and Ice to well anymore) in our Early 50's ,all kids are grown and living all over the country, we thought it was time to relax and see the country while we can.

I saw Tesla while doing everyday errands sitting in a car lot just after we said we would explore trailer options, a few days later I stopped in to look at her and fell in love the 70's vibe (something we had been working on for the house we rent) and at 4900 it was not out of the park for what we could afford. So I went to work.

I ran across a 20 ft Aristocrat for cheap or trade and went to check it out after seeing it I wasnt sure if it had the space we wanted but I could get it for a trade so I bit and traded a pistol and $30 to get it. I drove it home and it needed 2 tires so add $50 to whats invested. when my wife got home she about lost it there was a window missing (where ac unit fit in) and it had no bathroom just a deer camp in this neck of the woods, I told her I just got it to flip and she said "who is gonna buy this?" 3 days later it sold for $200 and a $450 rifle.

so I get back to looking for trailers and came across a 28 ft Nomad listed for 1800 not out of our range got the guy down to 1200 sight unseen and set up a meet 3 hrs away met up and was able to get it for 1000 pulled it home and had some work to do thinking this was going to be our unit for the road we scabbed in new sub floor and put down Laminate put about 150 into it. and made the choice to sell it and shoot for the Airstream . we found out we would need 2500 dn and the car lot would finance the rest. Sales mode was on and 2 weeks later we had a buyer and the Nomad sold for 2200 we rushed to get Tesla not knowing much about it.

we have had her for almost a month now and have pulled the 2 layers of carpet and the Jack knife sofa out to find a great subfloor . we now have the Laminate to install and Tesla is at the RV shop getting a system check and a new pig tail just so we know it all works or not.

We should have her back next week and get the floor done, Most everything is Sold or in storage or will go with us, begining the Journey at the end of the month with a short trip away from home base and testing the waters for FTing if all goes well we should begin to wander westward by Nov. 3rd.

Looking forward to meeting a lot of new folks out on the road.
