Ready to hop on board in Chattanooga, TN.

Hi, I'm Max Frisbee , 29, from Chattanooga TN.

So I've had this crazy idea lately. I'm sure your use to my kind around here. I'm wanting to take it easy, have much less overhead and bills. I'm just now starting to toy with the idea with setting up a semi-permant Airstream on a little plot of land by the creek and taking a completely different turn on life. I've been obsessing, I can't get the thought out of my head the last couple weeks.

I use to be an artist for the local county department of education and the last few years I've transitioned into an industrial automotive plant. It's worlds different and I want to do anything I can to distance myself from what life is now.

I'm not sure where to start with an Airstream purchase, what a good deal is, ect. Chattanooga, and the surrounding areas seem to have quite a few options however.

I'm thinking it will be mostly stationary, leaning vintage, with some remodel work coming soon after purchase is fine. Steer me in the right direction fellars!

Fris',
If you are looking for a semi stationary camper, look at big-o-used 5th-wheelers. If you want to haul a camper around the area and enjoy the diverse attractions of SE USA, an Airstream may be your fit.

Kinda- diverging priorities...

Thank you, I appreciate the input. I throughly understand the reasoning behind choosing a different type of trailer as a stationary unit. I'm drawn to the design of Airstreams but is that generally frowned upon to keep them put? :/

Not that is would be frowned on, just a suggestion based on practicality. The interior isn't known for lots of free space compared to other bigger trailers. $/cubic ft is kinda outta whack in the market. They are GREAT traveling trailers.

Having said that, if the aluminum bug has bitten - the only way to cure it is buy one...
