Ready for some Colorado Streamin!!

My wife and I just purchased our first Airstream. We got a 2004 Safari 28 W and are super excited to start having some fun in our new (to us) Airstream. We drove to Oklahoma City and back (we live north of Denver, CO) to look at it this past weekend. The AS was as advertised (basically brand new) so we agreed to the deal and are ready for some adventure. The drive back was 600 miles and a good experience. Air Forums has been very helpful as I have been doing a lot of lurking. I'm sure I will have more questions along the way and am glad there is a active base of airstreamers that are willing to help a newbie out. We are going to attend the Denver club meeting soon to meet some more airstream folk. My wife and I are 25 & 26 so we have alot to learn, but thankfully we have lots of time to enjoy our AS!

Welcome aboard!

Hi Rush:

Congratulations on your purchase of an Airstream. The fun is about to begin!

There are many active Airstreamers in the DenCo Unit. Our schedule of 2010 events can be found here under "Upcoming Events"

WBCCI DenCO Unit - "The" Denver Airstream Club

Hope you and your wife can join us in the near future. We look forward to meeting you two soon, perhaps next month in Colorado Springs.

Thanks Fred! We plan on making it some events for sure! I was looking at the schedule and the trip to Howard, CO later this year looks like a possibility. I would like to go to a rally to meet fellow streamers and see all the different Airstreams!

Welcome, Rush! You are going to have a blast with your rig... Get yourself to some rallies as soon as you can and let the fun begin! Check out the Four Corners Unit, too!

Congrats on the purchase, Rush. As new Airstreamers ourselves, I know how excited you are! Hey, what are you using for a tow vehicle?

I'm towing the AS with 2006 Jeep Commander. It has a 5.7 L HEMI engine and a 7,300 lb towing capacity. The wheelbase is a tad short, but it works fine.
