WOW! Thank you Kevin for posting these pics of my father it sure does mean a lot to me!
especially since I've never seen the pic of him polishing the Bambi! Tom Howarth had sent me a copy of the top pic when my dad had passed away. I have good understanding of why my father was so drawn to the love of airstreams & the airstream community. and genuine good people is definitely up there on that list.

I've found that hitch locks give a very false sense of security. Don't think it took long for the thieves to cut through that. Please post some pics ASAP to help us all quickly recognize your Bambi. Pretty bold for someone to steal it from your driveway.

Some of you might remember a similiar thread from folks in Seattle that got their coach jobbed. We know that area well and figured it was loaded into a container and shipped elsewhere. Longview is a world-wide port, also. I bet that little dear is long gone.

Has anybody on this forum ever gotten their stolen AS back? There seems to have been quite a few in Texas the last couple years, unfortunately. Best of luck to MikeScott, looks like a very recognizable trailer.

Longview, WA is a cargo port. Longview, TX where Mike Scott had this Bambi stolen is not. It's more likely to be hidden in the woods somewhere in East Texas (or NW Louisiana) than it is to be shipped abroad.

I still think stolen coaches are going abroad. Longview, or Longview.

Seasonal timing seems to point more towards taking it to a private hunting camp. I would let the Texas and Louisiana Fish and Game Agency know about the theft so they can keep their eyes and ears open. Pretty pathetic but it is a possibility...

It's hard for me to believe some old boys would steal a very visual, beautifull coach and stick it in the woods as a "hunting camp". Come on, even rednecks are not that stupid.

A little hostile?! aren't we. If it were my trailer, any idea would be appreciated. And no, ALL deer hunters are not angels...you might be surprised.

No, not hostile at all, I'm a hunter myself. My point was it just seems foolish to job a easily identified coach for nothing more than a camp site. Sorry if I offended anyone.
