Hulloooo. New member here. Bought my AS this past summer. Can't wait to move in and roll out. My wife and I are going FT nomad ASAP. I'll be looking for advice I'm sure. Thnx in advance.
We're also looking for a roadside hatch (cover/lid?). Raquel being an *as found* craigslist purchase, she was missing this piece. Still, she is in great shape for a 1968 Safari 22'. Any help finding the cover/lid would be greatly appreciated.
Out of doors mart and Inland may help out. If not there is a member here who makes those type door panels...sorry, can't remember who. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Here she is! Raquel! We had the windows fixed since this pic. was taken. Obviously, the missing panel/door is on the other side. 8)
We are excited/nervous/anxious...look out road, here we come!
P.S. Thanks MelodyR! If anyone knows the hatchmaker, please put me in touch. Thnx.
Congrats!!! Since acquiring my '67 Globetrotter I've become a huge fan of the '66-'68 curved Corning window Airstreams. Based on what I've heard on the VAP I think these have heavy Art Costello (Wally's successor) influences.
Foggy. Nice view anyway. Was in Raquel last night during a good downpour. Was glad to be able to find all leak issues. Just like you'd expect from an older lady, she was mostly dry inside. 8) Got some weather stripping to replace but, all said and done, she held up nicely for a 43 y/o broad. Peace.
