Proud owner of 1972 Argosy 24

Just purchased a 1972 Argosy 24. It has been sitting on the back of 6 acres for 15 years. Owner used it every once and a while for a get away. Everything seems to be in good shape, just not used for 15 years without electricity or water. There was a few mouse nest in it, but that all looks like it will clean fine. Floor is solid. Cabinets are in good shape. Here are some pictures from it being in the field. I will load more from after the wash and cleaning start from last weekend. Excited about owning and giving some TLC to this travel trailer. Look forward to sharing on the forum.

Thanks

Greetings rhudson12!

Welcome to the Forums and the world of Vintage Argosy ownership!

It looks like you have something of a time capsule on your hands. I am sure that you will enjoy learning about your Argosy as you make it ready to camp. You will find lots of support and good ideas here on the forums.

Good luck with your Argosy!

Kevin

HEY!!!
I almost bought that camper. Went and looked at it, but couldn't get the title straightened out so I had to pass. Did he get you a title? Nice solid camper. We should get up. I'm in Kernersville.

Have you started cleaning the mouse nests out yet?

Just got the title yesterday. Had to go back to the original owner and get them to apply for a new title. Trailer has been at my house now for about a month. Aired it out and sprayed disinfectant for a couple of weeks. Washed the outside and got the lichen off. Paint still looks really good. Original owner said he had it repainted at an auto body shop before he sold it. Hooked up electrical and everything works. Four main nests are cleaned and cabinetry looks good. Repaired plumbing under sink and water works. I will post some new pics later.

Thanks

Randall
