Proud New Owner!

Hello Forum Members:
My wife and I (and three dogs) are the proud owners of a new International 23D. We purchased it at Can AM RV Center in London Ontario and couldn't have been more pleased with our purchase n decision. We thought the owners and staff were top notch. We've been out a few times so far but are planning our first long trip next week in the Adirondacks with a possible trip to the Pinery Provincial Park in the near future.

Love the Pinery - actually, I love most of the Lake Huron Provincial Parks. Point Farms is a favourite, a bit further north Killbear never disappoints.

We're just planning a four day trip to Long Point PP, followed by another week at McRae Park.

Where was the picture taken? Looks idyllic.

Oh, and another satisfied CanAm customer here.

Hi Lisa and Paul,
Thanks for your comment. What is the weather like for camping at Pinery in mid-October? I would like to close the season out with a trip north. I have never been to the shores of Lake Huron. It looks amazing....

It can go either way. Mid October is Canadian Thanksgiving which we've celebrated both in the outdoors and inside with a fire going. With a bit of luck the days will still be warm but I wouldn't expect swimming weather.

If you're planning on visiting this year, book soon. Because of the holiday, and because the parks close for the season after, spaces go fast. We booked our own getaway two months ago.

Lake Huron is beautiful any time of the year. Make sure to visit Goderich and the Mennonite farms.

I'll respond to both of your messages here

The fall weather in Southern Ontario usually is quite nice (55 -70 degrees F) with cool nights..Currently we live on the prairies and there is no spring or fall, just summer and winter..
re: dogs.. We use the portable pens, which keep the dogs from wandering. Also a good quality RV mat (mesh type!) keeps the trailer clean from dirt and sand. The RV mat is one of the best things we bought for the unit. Since this picture was taken we have purchased a short portable pen to keep the little one from running under the trailer..
Unfortunately with dogs the upholstery needs to be covered. Our next unit will have a dark fabric or leather..

Happy Trails

Paul
