Palmetto Greetings from new Airstreamers

Hello all from the Upstate of SC. I've been lurking on these forums for a year now soaking up all that I can. Man is there a lot to learn, I think I have only scratched the surface. The wife and I are avid DIY people, and are very excited to be doing this project. Last Year the wife gave me 2 yrs to get this project completed. (our youngest child is 15mths now and she said she's not taking an infant camping ). Anyways we look forward to learning and exploring this new to us world of Airstreaming.

My new project blog.

Oh yeah, your done for. you got it bad.

Very funny start to your blog. Keep that sense of humor 'cause you are going to need it. Restoring an Airstream is all good, not just the finishing date.
So good luck and start thinking of ways to redefine that two year working term with your wife. I would suggest telling her you really meant two years of actual time spent restoring. That could buy you some time. But be thinking of other excuses in the meantime.

Welcome to Wally's World!

Welcome. We are near Lavonia, GA. Come to Springstream Rally in May if you can in Hiawassee, GA. There are works under way often. Come as is, if road worthy.

Even if "She" can't make it. You're sure welcome to come!! Stay for the day, or in an area motel. I drove through Hiawassee a few months ago after departing from Pickens. It's an 1.5 to 2 hour drive without the tow behind to slow your progress.

Welcome to the forum and the aluminum disease that none of us are looking for a cure for!!

Lot's of good information on this forum. Sounds to me as if you have a good head on your shoulders and will make good and sound judgements. Try to go to the rally even for the day, you will be amazed at the friendly and helpful people that live on this forum.

Oh, I read your blog, keep the good sense of humor, it will help, and keep ducking the swats!!

Good luck with your new child, and have you thought of a name yet?

Marie
