Pac. Northwest 1966 Globetrotter.

We just purchased a 1966 Globetrotter and the adventure is about to begin. Two families of two coming together makes for tight quarters in our Sportsmobile. Looking forward to learning and sharing stories.

Best,
Sherisa and Gary

Thanks everyone. We spent our first day working on the trailer. Sherisa has some mad rivet removal skillz and Gary removed the rear fiberglass wet bath enclosure. We are curious if Citrisolve will remove the vinyl like surface over the aluminum panels and are testing an area to see.

My goodness, you are already having fun. There are several vintage Airstream owners in the Bellingham/Blaine/just over the border area. There's vintage trailer campouts frequently through the summer. Watch for the info on this forum.

Congrats on the purchase. We have a '70 Overlander and just love it. While we are in the Eugene area, we would love to get together with other Pacific NW vintage owners!

Welcome to the AS world. If you are looking for a home port there is the Washington Land Yacht Harbor in Lacey, WA (9101 Steilacoom Rd SE - 360 491 3750) where approx 150 people live in a gated community. The Harbor is on approx 40 acres with storage facilities and a large overnight parking area. Come visit when you can.

Have fun with your restoration, use the search to find out the best way to remove the vinyl, I've heard it is not an easy project, but with a restoration you will learn everything about your Globetrotter.

thanks for the warm welcome. seems like a great community to be joining. hardly even started and imagining what the next project will be. if you could prevent any newbie from making a big mistake what would it be? happy to prevent too many hard lessons in advance.
