Overjoyed and overwhelmed

Hello everyone, my wife and I joined the airstream family about two months ago. We had been looking for a travel trailer to live in full time with our young daughter and dog when we came across a 1976 overlander sitting in a field up the mountains in Utah. We found the owner and convinced him to sell it to us, for a fair price. We have had to totally gut it and evict all the field mice from there homes in the insulation. We are going to be putting it back together here real soon and I have sooooo many questions I'm hoping to get answers. Thanks in advance, and anyone who would like to follow our build, we are on Instagram. Pack.yourself.a.toothbrush

Hello fellow Coloradoan: Welcome to these Airstream Forums. Congratulations of finding and deciding to renovate an vintage Overlander. I purchased one about a year ago and I'm in the midst of a "mild" renovation. My goal is a "reliable and comfortable" trailer the whole family can use. My Overlander is a twin bed, rear bath layout. It had the common problems of rear end separation, frame sag, and a bunch of stuff that didn't work so well.
Your project will be quite a bit bigger, but fun nonetheless.

You might give consideration to starting a "project thread" right here on Airstream Forums. Why, because there are a lot of vintage Airstream enthusiasts who enjoy following along and helping out each other with our projects. My project thread is linked below if you care to take a look.
