our new adventure

Hello, my husband and i just purchased our airstream last spring off ebay, drove from mt. to oregon to pick up, we got one planning to do a full monty .. i do design always for years wanted to try to make over one of these. my husband builds so we make a good team, hope it works out. first bad news was our floor in rear bath was ruined so we had to replace the plywood, new is in and laid marmoleum in the bathroom, we are going to use the bubble insulation layers of 5, just beginning ... selling house and planning to live in this perhaps thru winter if can bear the cold til get other home base .. quite a downsize from 4000 sq ft to 200 ha. your posts have helped us already with the removal of the floors...thanks

Julie, welcome aboard. What model / length Airstream did you purchase? I used the marmoleum in my trailer too and it is quite nice. Any photos to share?

Hi Julie,

Welcome and congratulations. I don't envy you at the prospect of a Montana winter, though. Keep us posted on your upgrades.
