Congrats! Just bought a 2016 myself! I have been camping in a bare-bones camper for the last two years (didn't even have a battery!) so we're pretty much in the same boat!

You're gonna love it!

Welcome and congratulations JoJo! We just bought our '16 Intl 19 this past July. Our very first trailer as well. You selected a beautiful trailer and I hope you'll enjoy the experience as much as we have. Safe Travels!

Thank you everyone. Since this is ours first travel trailer, we spent countless hours at RV shows and trying to figure out who we are. It was pretty much consider a done deal when we saw this beautiful baby. We will name her after get a few trips under our belt.

Welcome to the Airstream community! You're going to love it. Gee, our Airstream is 30 years old and still going strong.

We had a similar experience at the local RV show. We walked through many other trailers and saved the Airstream display for last. When we finally got there, the quality difference and interior designs were way above the others. Airstreams are expensive, but they are also special. You will love the way it tows, and you will get used to the smaller interior space. But it is a well designed interior space.

Stay connected to Air Forums as you will have questions and there are many, many experienced Airstreamers here who would love to offer an answer or advice.

David

Vancouver Washington - Being near the Pacific Ocean and the Columbia river, you have some nice places to visit close to home. Should make for a good series of shake down trips.

Congratulations on the new rig. Go slow and stay conservative. Look before you move and double check everything. Your walk through with the dealer at pickup is important. Take notes. Do everything they tell you about, yourself - do not just watch. The awning and AC look simple. They are not hard, but also not intuitive. Do it - the AC needs 30 amps that you likely do not have at home, so practice a bit at the dealer and ask questions about how to change from heater to AC and back again. Spend just a bit of time on winterizing too. Have them show you all the compartments and where all the valves are located. In addition to the trailer, have them completely explain the hitch and hookup process.

Good luck and travel safe. Pat

Our first ever travel trailer.

Thank you David and Pat!!
Yes I will be extra cautious towing our AS around. I had a little bit of experience towing and backing long heavy fishing boats around here in pacific coast. It is nice that our AS has electric brakes instead of the surge brake system on those boat trailers. Wish we should've take the big duramax 2500HD but I think we will be fine with our little 2016 Sierra 5.3 gasser. Let see how it handle these 6,7% grade hills for few years then we will decide what is our next TV.
