Our First Airstream

We just picked up our first Airstream today, a 2017 Flying Cloud 26U. We traded a 35' Winnebago for it now that our kids are mostly grown and it's just my wife and I. We really like the floor plan and how everything looks. We are looking forward to getting out in the road, but for tonight we are camping in our pasture!

Great way to have a shakedown, right at home. Seriously.

Welcome and safe travels.

We love ❤️ our 26U , just picked it up two nights ago and stayed the night before in "Lucille" before a 1/2 day orientation and then re-winterization before we drove her home. Great layout , enjoy !!!

It is an awesome trailer. And wow that's some dedication! It was almost 80 here today. I don't think I'd get my wife out in it below 50.

Thanks everyone. We are enjoying her already. Have a bonfire going and just hanging out listening to the creek and critters.

Lol , they would have been back logged for 2-3 weeks with other deliveries , so we took the opening with our eyes on the weather.... no snow or rain . Turned out it needed a new water pump( macerater malfunction and caused some sort of short in the system) two new batteries and some minor screen adjustments on back window. Sitting in her right now having a few...

I guess I could construe (at a stretch) our 26U as our "first Airstream" since our other trailers have been vintage Argosy models. I leave a week from today for the big retrieval trip and shakedown home. I'll make my own thread to spam people with when the time comes!

Welcome to the 26U family! We sure have been growing lately and that's a good thing...it's a great floorplan and a perfect "first" airstream for sure.

We are on airstream #5 and the 26U is by far our favorite and hopefully the one to carry us to the end of rving.

Hope you have many safe and fun travels in your new shiny home on wheels!

Congrats on your new Airstream. We just bought the new Classic , but aside from that, the 26U was our favorite floor plan too!
