Hello from Conifer: You're a brave soul to go full time in a 46 year old travel trailer. The Sovereign 31' was the top of the line in 72. I bet time has taken its toll. Many of our old Airstreams end up abandoned to rot. At least the aluminum body usually survives this.

So you have to tell us about this vintage Airstream, it's condition, and your plans for it to make it comfortable for you.

I have a 75 Overlander 27' that I purchased last fall. It was in pretty good shape. I'm working this winter to make it even better, I hope. We will use the thing as a travel trailer and visit some scenic sights here in Colorado.

Welcome to Air Forums. This is a very good website for all kinds of advice on Airstreams, both new and old.

David

Many folks use the Airstream Trailer Knowledgebase near the bottom of the Forums page. Then find the Sovereign, and then the year of your trailer.

This is a good place as much of the forums is organized by general topics, like electrical, skins, plumbing, running gear, etc. Most renovation or restoration threads involve most of the trailer's systems. Many folks like to follow along to learn more about how the trailer is made and how it can be made even better.
