Old Timer, First Airstream

Hi everybody, I am an Old Timer to RVing, but I finally got my first Airstream! I have always wanted one, but never did buy one. I have been RVing since 1972 and have had just about every kind of camper and motor home out there, but never got an Airstream. Well I got the opportunity the other day to buy one from a friend who was giving hers up, so I now am the proud owner of an Airstream camper. Its about time!

I have 140 acres out here in West Texas (about 60 miles East of El Paso) and hope to have a rally out here one day. In the meantime, I have set aside space for anyone who wants to do some 'coyote camping'. Free of charge. Just let me know and we can work it out.

Have a great day,
Rick Davis (Eutsler)

Old Timer, First Airstream

Greetings,

I have been RVing since 1972 and have always wanted an Airstream. But never found the one with the floorplan that I wanted at the right price until now. It is a '78 31' Sovereign and it is in VERY good condition. There are a couple of minor things that need to be done, but nothing at all major. Even the curtains in this thing are like new!

Anyway, I am looking forward to using my Airstream and seeing some of you all out there on the road in the future.

Rick,
Congratulations & welcome home. My family has been tent campers for 30 years - largely due to economic circumstances. We got our Argosy last year and are having a blast. We like gypsy camping so a small trailer is what we wanted. The folks here on the forum are diverse. Everyone can find a place. I'm new to this whole forum-Airstream-rally thing but we're feeling our way through it. There are answers here to whatever confuses me. The best part of the forum for me is that it is upbeat... the people here seem to be having fun.

Regards

Mike

Wonderful West Texas and such a nice offer we hope we can take you up on it some day. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Airstream. The 70's were the best!
