OK, OK, I'll post

I am the proud second owner of a 1981 Excella 28 ft. MH with the Isuzu diesel. Both my wife and I are recently retired and have been living full time in it for the past two months. I have gotten a lot of information from here and appreciate all the hard work to keep this going.

We're glad that you decided to surface. Welcome aboard. Have you been staying in one place or moving around.

Welcome! I bet you are glad you got the diesel with fuel prices being what they are. Keep us posted of your travels.

Two months of full-timing already. You've already got a jump on some of us. Welcome to the forums.

I am seeking your advise as you and your wife have already retired to an RF lifestyle.

I'm 6'3', my wife and I have had a king size bed in our home...forever.

In our Vintage Airstream, 24' Tradewind, the beds make things to cosy for comfort.

How do you deal with the bed lenght fulltime?

How do you manager the space?

We have been moving around somewhat. Long story but I have to return to "home" to have a hip replacement in November so we haven't gone far and are on our way back now. Greg

We are still working out the space management but it really boils down to simplify, simplify. We had previously lived in a 29 foot 1988 Excella Trailer for two years. (That was after moving out of a three bedroom house and my promise that we would find more suitable housing in no more than two weeks. Von, mi esposa, paid the monthly rate at an RV park the first time and it was so chea....err inexpensive that we wound up there for a long time while both of us still were working full time.)

This motor home does not have a full time bed but the fold out couches are just barely big enough for the two of us but I am 5'11" not 6'3". That will be an issue for you all I'm afraid.

Our toad is a 5x8 covered utility trailer and that takes some of the bulky stuff such as my golf clubs but it is really full with our Harley ElectraGlide Ultra. We have been surprised at how we have been able to find space but it is a chore and we are still working on it.

Greg
