Offical Hello!

We bought our 1987 sovereign a few weeks ago and took our first trip this weekend. We stayed very close to home for the first one to work out the bugs, there were very few. A water leak from a cracked t under the sink, so wet carpet but dried with fans. The carpet is going anyway so no biggie. It's official, we LOVE HER! Her name is Virginia. We are moving up from an rpod named Wilbur. The extra space is wonderful. Being the only airstream in the park was cool! I have done some personal touches, cleaned and recovered the sofa, dyed the drapes and sewed on all new tabs. She was in darn good shape! I want to post photos, do I have to do them one at a time?!

Also, wanted to say that we have been looking for "our" AS for a while now, we knew we wanted vintage, but not a lot of repair. My husband was looking at land near our home, went to close the page, hit next instead and there she was! 10 minutes from our house! Absolutely no major issues. Got there at 8:00, bought at 8:30! If you are lookin, don't give up!!

Welcome aboard from fellow Virginians! Sounds like you've contracted a wonderful case of Aluminitis just like us.

When you post, look for the little "advanced" button near the bottom of the page. Selecting it will open another page with lots of options for posting characters and pictures. As long as you aren't on a smartphone or some pads, you can post multiple pictures if they are under the stated size limit.

Love the Zip Dee tire covers!

Is that something that can be bought?
Or did someone buy some material from Zip Dee and make them?

Way cool. I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Hungry Mother. We'll stop on the way North or South the next time. Thanks.

We like the B campground. You can reserve the campground but spots are first come, and the ones by the creek are the best!! You will enjoy the atmosphere!!

Welcome to the forums.

I found our 66 Tradewind on the back row of an rv dealer less than 20 miles from our home.

Looks like you found a real nice one. Your patience was rewarded.

Welcome from Texas. I really admire all you guys who do the homework and pick up the older classic trailers. She looks beautiful. Love the pet. Wonder how my two Boykin Spaniels would take to her?

When you find an Airstream like that you know it was meant to be! Welcome and she looks like she's in great condition.
