Off the Harley...and, into a Silver Bullet!

Greetings everyone from the newest guy on the block (it isn't often that I get to use the word "new" these days). Now that I am drawing Social Security, it may be time to alter our lifestyle a bit and return to RV'ing. I have already determined that things have REALLY changed since I last owned a trailer. Thanks to the wealth of knowledge on this forum, I am getting up-to-speed quickly...and, I apologize in advance for some of the stupid questions I will surely ask. We haven't made the purchase yet, but we are looking hard for a used 19-23' Safari (will post on the "wanted" thread). Hope to eventually add something constructive in the future (was a moderator on a Harley forum for a few years). Regards

Hey Chief!

Welcome to the forums.

Ask away. I'm sure someone here has an answer to your questions - and if not, we'll fake it!

Hi Chief,
Welcome to the forums. The only stupid questions are the ones not asked! Lots of experience and knowledge here and folks willing to share it. Good luck in your search!

Welcome Chief,
We've kept the HD, infact, traded in the 2000 for a 2006 EG Classic. Best of both worlds.
Wife and I are talking about going bigger than the 22' Iwe've currently got. If we make the decision to sell, I'll PM you.

Thanks for keeping me in mind if you decide to sell. I should probably keep our '02 Road King as well....lots of good memories. And, I just recently took care of the cam tensioner problem (the twinky timebomb) by going to S&S gear-driven cams, new lifters and adjustable pushrods. When I added a high-flow K&N, V&H Ovals and a fuel pack....it really brought the bike alive. BTW, we have a little town named Lynchburg in my old home state of TN.....noted for it's fresh spring water.

Thanks. I've been through so many listings that my head hurts....or, maybe something else caused that! <g>
I saw some photos of your rig (with the 8th AF symbol) in my neck of the woods. The Eglin Armament Museum is less than five miles from our home.

Go for the 23'. We got a 19' first. We weren't sure we would like RV'ing. We traded for a 25' 9 months later. If we had started with the 23' we would have kept it.
