Not yet but...

Hi all,
About a year ago, it was time to replace the old Expedition, and literally 24 hours before we intended to buy a straight 1500 GMC, we say a slightly used 1500HD, hmm... more wheelbase, more axle, more motor... less money. After we'd had it about a week, SWMBO (she who must be obeyed) asked if it would pull an Airstream. I just nodded, as that thought had occurred to me too.
You see, the hybrid (which replaced the pop-up, having deja vu anyone?) wasn't quite cutting it with us. We've talked about Airstreams for a number of years, but just figured they'd always be out of reach.
But this spring, we talk it over for real, and got a war chest together. I'm starting to actually believe we're going to do it. Will be keeping our eyes out for a 27-31' center bath. We've seen one locally, but won't know whether that works out for another 2-3 weeks.

Anyway, thanks for the forum. We've been lurking for a week or two, and the people seem nice!

Howard

Good for you! It's an adventure you won't regret. Just be sure to shop around and find a good one. Ones that size are a little easier to find than the little trailers. Welcome to the forums!

A lot of the fun is in the looking. Shop around at RV Trader and the classified here. Sometimes dealers have a used Airstream. Stop and ask when you see one sitting all alone. People will sell them sometimes. Believe me, after you find one, YOU'RE HOOKED. It is an adventure you will never regret.
