not meant to be a storage shed

My in-laws own an Airstream Safari. It has not been licensed since 1999. As my father-in-law has entered a nursing home I am trying to locate information as to the trailers value and whether to restore it or not. I believe that the trailer is from the 1960s. The registration number is T 0039065. The ohter number I located is S 02240042. I have been inside the trailer and I did not notice any evidence of water leakage. It is currently used to store various household items. The trailer is located in Minnesota.

Welcome to the forums. The trailer has survived many Minnesota winters without any noticeable harm. I would say that deserves a restoration in itself. You will find a lot of help here. Good luck with your project.

It appears you have a '64 Safari by the numbers provided - however I think your post is missing one digit: S 0224

1964 Safari 22'
Ohio | S O(I) 22 4 1(2) 0NNN
(O=standard Landyacht options, I prefix for Int'l options)
(1 for front sofa-bed, 2 for front dinette/bed)

Sounds like a 62 or 63

Go here an see if you can match it. Pictures?

Worth? Depends on condition. Oh yeah, they all leak, especially in between the aluminum walls where you can't see it. Just remember, the outer section of the floor is critical to the structural integrity of the trailer, where the aluminum body is connected to the wood floor, then connected to the steel chasis.
