Noob from San Diego

Proud new owners of a 2015 19' International Signature from San Diego. We'd been talking about it for a few years, but suddenly we got serious and bought it. (Started out saying we'll rent an Airstream for the Balloon Fiesta... surprised at the pricey rental Airstreams... shocked at the high prices of newer used Airstreams, shopped online for new, found this and bought it Labor Day weekend.)

Wife and I are on our maiden voyage, currently in Tucson at the KOA/LazyDays Resort (Super posh!) on our way back to San Diego from the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. Stopped by the Airstream rally section right next to the balloon launch fields, was amazing to see all those beautiful Airstreams in one place.

We already signed up for WBCCI, awaiting our number. Can't wait to join the Balloon Fiesta Airstream Rally next year... and maybe other rallies sooner. We are also eager to take her out on more outings. (This is our first RV, so there's SO much to learn!)

David (& Anne & Yeti)

(Hi, fellow newbie Wes Anderson from Oklahoma, if you're reading these forums!)

Welcome aboard from a former Poway-gian. They are pretty cool units with some friendly owners.

Hey:

Come out and see us at San Elijo Campground. We will be camphosts there from Nov. 1 til March 1. It's mostly a local campground and is great if you don't mind train whistles We will be at the south end of the campground.

Pat and Pete

@lgwaldrop, why'd you move to Hotlanta from paradise?!? We moved to SD (Bonita) from the high desert of California and couldn't be happier.

@sinjin, we almost went to San Elijo last night because we got back a night early from Albuquerque, but of course you're not there yet. We still work 8/10 time, so we'll be doing a lot of local camping; we'll definitely drop by and say, "Hi."

Hey Bill and Patti we're nearly 19' neighbors. We're in Santee and just returned from a 3 1/2 week adventure. It would be fun to meet some fellow local 19' ASers. PM us if you'd like. We're always going somewhere. Hoped to hear from you.

Mark,
The path not taken is the one I take.

Thanks all! I'm sure we'll run into each other at a rally or at a campground somewhere!
