No Longer Just Viewing

I have been reading through many of your discussions threads for many months, but have only recently signed up as a member.

We have finally made the leap and purchased, rather ordered our second Airstream. In 2000, we had purchased a 1964 Bambi II, restored it, and then spend 8 weeks traveling the US from Maine to Vancouver, down the West Coast and back through the Southwest. We sold our Airstream when we returned to pay for the trip. I have recently seen it available for sale again on an Airstream page.

But now as we are heading toward retirement, and rather than putting extra cash into a retirement fund in these last few years, we went ahead and ordered a 2018 Classic for delivery in July. Since we live in NYC and don't even own a car, we are going to be parking it on a seasonal lot in Vermont and using it as our second home, before it becomes our only home.

Needless to say, we are very excited. I have been scouring this forum for tips and advice and binging on AS vblogs on Youtube. Looking forward to this Airstream life.

Welcome, sounds like you have a well thought out plan. See you down the road.
