She is home, and I am almost rested and ready to get to work. The outside of this trailer is in wonderful condition with no dents. The inside is going to need a lot of love and attention- starting with making her water tight. Anyway, here are a few pictures.

She's beautiful! Congrats on getting her home in one piece!
Considering all the past history of the trailer with your family, it will be love, not work, getting her back to smiling condition, like the one on your face in the photo....
We will all help you along the way,
Carol

This looks like a well maintained and loved trailer. Hope the work goes as well as the trip home.

What would I do without the airstream knowledge contained here at the airforums? I keep finding everything that we need to know about everything from the fridge to the sewer.
We have a long way to go but finally did camp in her for a few nights last week.
I thought that I would share some pictures of the upholstery and the air conditioner solution (the triangle continues through to inside, which holds it in place)- as well as one of our first camp.
Thanks all for your help.

Looks real good. How about some more details on that AC solution. Very interesting. Which window?

Hi Carol,
The window is the street side window between the gaucho and the counter. There is an outlet right under the window which makes it perfect. It is only tree pieces of wood- the bottom, and the two sides. The triangles are cut long enough that they extend beyond the window opening- the weight of the ac unit holds it all in place without connecting it at all. The whole thing is flush with the inside wall, except for the tips of the triangles. We plan to paint the wood to match the aluminum.

Thanks Lori, but I still need more photos. When you get time - that is. How exactly does it slide?

I have been having so much fun with the airstream, 2 trips to burning man, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Rushmore and the badlands, trips to Minnesota- and lots of local camping. I just got back from Texas where I had the badly delaminating cabinets replaced with maple and mahogany. Thought it time for an update.
I can't tell you how appreciative I am for this forum and the wealth of information, I check here first every time I have a problem. Thanks for being here!
