Newly Hitched
After almost a year of searching we found a 2008 Safari SE 27FB in New Jersey on Ebay. A month ago we looked her over and worked out the purchase details. We had her checked over good by the service department at Colonial Airstream who also helped us get the hitch adjusted properly (thanks Bob Johnston and Kevin Amaro). Monday we picked her up from the owner and began our trip home.
Our first night was at the Country Haven Campground in New Holland, PA. The second and third nights we spent at the Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Park near Floyd, VA. Highland Haven was a wonderful place and great escape from the hot weather. I'm sure we'll return many times. Tonight our Safari is sleeping safely, locked up in a warehouse near our NC home, while we plan our next trip. We are booked for CanOpener in January 2012 and look forward to meeting many of the people we've been following on the Forums there.
Now we have to name our Airstream.
