Just recently my wife and I purchased an older A/S '72 international Sovereign 27 FT. We both are retired and are looking forward too getting her fixed up and doing some traveling. Great info on this forum.
Welcome to the forums. I just noticed that it is -1 degree at your location. I hope you have winterized your trailer and everything else! You said that it is a 27 foot Sovereign which can't be correct. If it is a Sovereign it should be 31 foot. Overlander's are 27 foot. The VIN should start with I27 or I31, that will tell you the correct size. The distance is measured from the ball to the rear bumper. Best of luck with your "new" trailer.
Welcome. Just bought a 76, 31ft Sovereign last month. What a great trailer. I wasn't aware the Sovereign came in 27ft; but there are lots of things I'm not aware of at my age. We love pictures here on the forum. Let us see what your new toy looks like.
Thanks for the welcome.
Richard, thanks for the headsup on the length. The gent that sold it to us gave us the 27' length, checking per your help showed the VIN to start with 131.
I received the title from the previous owner today, went to the county clerk to register it and found out that they have it listed as a 32'. Surprise, surprise.
Just shows how little we know about A/S', lot to learn.
juel, picture will follow at a later time.
Thanks again.

If you watch the Forums, you'll be amazed at how much there is to learn and how easy it is at this location! Try to use the Forums - use the keys at the top of the page to go to the different sections. Every one of them has a wealth of information. The "Classifieds" are always fun to check on - learn to navigate your way through the various sections and the learning will build and build and build. Good luck with your new baby. My wife and I have just purchased our first one also - we've been reading the Forums for many months and feel like we're ready to go 'streamin.........can't wait for spring!! See you down the road, perhaps.........
Nice! I have a 1972 Sovereign for sale now because I found another one that I just couldn't pass up. Hang in there! The fever will start to build as you learn more about Airstreams and you just can't resist!
Merry Christmas!

Nice pictures! Welcome... we're from the "Outback" of Minnesota so we will understand when you talk about weather... or have an "accent"! Glad to have reinforcements from "Tundraland"!
