We have been "dreamin' of Airstreamin'" for years and have just bought a 2014 FC 23D. Can't wait for delivery! Thanks to all for your generous advice and welcoming spirit. See you on the road! Bob and Marian

Thanks, John. There's so much to learn, but we seem to have good support here at the local dealer. We plan to take several short trips before winter sets in, and then start a whole new phase in our lives as a traveling therapist.

Good choice!
If we had started with a 23, we'd probably still have it!

Thank you, all. There was a little delay getting the Touareg to perceive the trailer and once that was worked out, we brought her home today! Getting her ready for our first little trip. Yippee!

We have lovely neighbors, so our departure was further delayed by visits and showings. Not to mention coming home to a mess as our younger Newf had discovered she can open the freezer door! Eventually, we got going. I remembered to register the new trailer with the local tollway and we breezed through the plazas. A break for lunch left us scratching our heads when the brake assist suddenly stopped registering. I got out and checked the electrical connection at the hitch. I found I hadn't latched it properly.

Another stop at my mom's and my sister pointed out that the chains were dragging and I twisted them a couple times to lift them off the ground. Finally we arrived at Four Sons Farm, in Delavan, Wisconsin, hooked up and settled in. It's cooling down nicely and there's a sliver of moon overhead.

I'll get some more nice shots of the girls soon, Vivian. Although it's far away, they are the two black lumps in the foreground above. Here's one of Bella and Bob.

Good photo! Although I know how huge Newfies are, every time I see a photo I am amazed all over again! We met a lovely couple at the Intn'l last year who have a Newfie named Bear, and the name is accurate! He made our adult male Dobie look like a puppy.

Hope you enjoy the forum and Airstreaming with your hounds!
