Newbie with a '48 Liner

Newbie with a Liner alert! We live just outside York PA and have had Scottys for some time. A couple friends found Airstreams...we looked and are hooked! found a 1948 Liner that needs completly redone inside. I have a 1941 Ford panel I plan to use to pull it, should look cool together. LOTS of great info here, great resource!!!

Howdy Larry -- Welcome to the Forums! Congrats on the great classic Airstream. That would have a pipe frame of limited capacity. An interior rebuild would have to stay as light as original. For advice to another '48 Liner owner, see New Member. Pay special attention to the running gear too. We give karma discounts for pictures!

See 48Liner for other nicely restored '48 Liners. A sample of the VIN is at the top left corner of this page. (source: Vintage Airstream Photo Archives)

Welcome to the forums. As stated, we love pictures. Nice trailer you got there.

Bob is a karma slot machine. Wish it worked Bob.

Pictures are very important . Particularly as you work your way through the restoration. Also, are your fellow Airstream friends on the Forum? If not maybe give them a nudge. This is a pretty good virtual campfire to hang out at.

And of course the all important welcome, glad you have joined us.

Pictures of that '41 would also be great
