Newbie w/ 52 Cruisette
Hi all. I'm new to the forum and I think I just acquired a rare Airstream. My dads friend decided he had to get rid of some of his toys and he sold me his vintage Airstream. I think its a 1952 Cruisette. I will get some pictures of it on here soon but is there any way to get a list of what Airstreams with vin#'s were made in the 50's? Im excited for any imput!!! Thanks, Matt

Way to go Idaho - I mean Matt.
My buddy just bought a '53 Flying Cloud in Boise and is heading down to pick it up the Easter weekend.
Look forward to seeing the pictures.

Welcome to the Forums Matt! VIN? Follow Shari's link to the Photo Archives. Select the possible year model and there are samples of that year/model's VIN. It looks like the '51 & '52 Cruisettes share the same page. The VIN sample says "8000 to ~8075." Those were the simple days. This perplexes motor vehicle depts when you try to license. Great find! Could I be related to your dad's friend too?

Cool pics Matt. Love the little bugger. Interesting tongue set-up, can you take the extension off?

I'm pretty sure that I could take it off and that was one of the first things I thought about changing but it pulls like a dream and backing it up is great! So Im going to leave it for now until I decide to make more original.

Maybe that is one of those early "double ball" sway control devices.
